AN EXPENSIVE DREDGE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night.

At a meeting of shareholders of the Earnsleugh No. 3 Dredging and Electric Power Company it was decided to go into voluntary liquidation. The dredge was to cost originally £IO,OOO, hut £23,000 has been expended on it. A trial run was got, but the shareholders declined to go fui thcr to get it into working order.

In the draught match between Gardiner anlßrodie four games were played to-day, and tho score now is: Brodie 2 wins, Gardiner 1 ; drawn 4. An engino and tender left the rails at the eattlo yards this evening, but no serious damage was done beyond delaying the traffic a little.

The First .Chance dredge has obtained 117 ounces since Friday.
