Messrs Dalgety and Co. report : —“ We held our usual monthly sale of stock at Makaraka yards on Thursday. The yarding was small, owing to the recent bad weather preventing several lines from getting in. We quote : 21 months’ steers ifio 16s, 12 months £2 18s; heifers, 18 months £2 10s, 2 year £3, springers £5 10s ; cows, rtm cows £o 16s, springers £7 10s to £B, milkers £6 10s up. Sheep : Hoggets 5s 3d, 4-year owes 5s 7d. Tigs: Weaners, 6s 6d.
