Zealand, Melbourne and Adelaide .Universities were not represented, Oxford desires to establish close connection with the Colonial Universities, and as far as possible pay attention to students destined for professions, or the higher ranks of Civil servants and holders of Rhodes’ scholarships, After; speeches by, Lord Onslow and the .Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, on Sir Edmund Barton’s suggestion the University authorities agreed to embody, their views in a memorandum which the Colonial Office will submit to the Colonial Universities lor an expression of their views.
