Another trooper standing near Edgar also discovered two supposed bullet holes in his clothing.; A part of the demonstration was tiie firing by the volunteers. The officers in charge deposed that blank cartridges only were issued,
The shooting referred to in the foregoing cablegram occurred during peace celebrations at Armidaie, when an “ armoured " train formed part of the procession, Possibly there lias been an awful blunder somewhere, The statement that only blank ammunition was used is a ridiculous statement. No one would suppose that hall cartridge would he issued.
