Tho Daily Telograph, commenting on the New Zoaland Budget, says it discloses a very enviable position, and not only is satisfactory in respect to good Government finance, but the colony undoubtedly continues to enjoy tho prosperity which set in ten years ago, and still gives signs of progressive improvement. It refers to tho shrowdnoss of commercial representation abroad in obtaining such a largo sharo of South African trade, and commends tho Government scheme of small settlements —an achievement which is noiablo and, like tho surplus, onviablo.
