13y Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, last night. The Charitable Aid Board to-day passed a series of resolutions dealing with tho suggested amendment of tho Registration of Births and Deaths and tho Destitute Persons Acts, providing that in tho caso of tlio registration of illegitimate children tho mother shall stato tho true muno and address of tho father, and the Registrar shall forthwith servo tho alleged father with notice to that- effect; also in the direction of compelling fathers of illegitimate unborn children to make provision for tho maintenance of same until they reach tho ago of 16. Copies of the resolutions are to bo sent to the Charitable Aid Boards in tho colony and to members of Parliament.
