S.M., while taking that into consideration, held that defendant was guilty of neglect in not reading the license issued to him, and imposed a fine of £5, and costs .61 Bs. ASHBURTON FLOUR MILLS. John Mill, of Port Chalmers, is the purchaser of the Ashburton Roller Mills, tho price being between eight and ten thousand pounds. Tho deposit on tho purchase was paid to day. The now proprietor hopes to get the mills at work very shortly, and in less than two months expects to have about 150 hands employed.
