The return from the Commonwealth to tho State for thb year was £2,385,000. It is expected .that tho expondituro will bo pretty heavy. It is not yet availablo. But for the-’-drought, tho Treasurer would probably show a surplus. A defioit is anticipated’ Melbourne, July 1. Tho revonno for tho . year was £6,995,000, including £1,920,000 received from the Commonwealth. Adelaido, July 1.
The rovonuo for the year was £2,421,000, being £400,000 loss than last yoar. The sum of £002,000 was returned by the Commonwealth.
