Incoming steamers report having a* ■ rough time in Cook Strait. Reports from the country indicate that there are fears of a flood. , Advice has been received that Better’s . Telegram Company has declared a five ' per cent, dividend. Government have decided to acquire " Diedrich’s Kakatahi Estate, containing 1900 acres, near Greymonth. The land i 3 * to be out up into dairy farms. The gricq is about £3 per acre.
