LORD RANFURLY’S CRITICISMS.

CHARITABLE AID BOARD CONSIDERS THEM UNFAIR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Charitable Aid Board yesterday discussed tho criticisms passed on tho Costloy Home by Lord Ranfurly. The members generally thought the Governor’s remarks unfair, and considered he had gone too far. The resolution fixing the sum of 10s per week as tho amount to be charged to Imperial pensioners was rescinded, and it waß decided that in future such inmates be charged the actual amount of their keep. Several members were anxious that inmates who are able to keep themselves outsido should be compelled to do so. The Board passed a resolution asking the Government to establish a home for semi-imbeciles, of whom there are several in the Costley Home.
