[By Tslegrapn—Press Association.] Dunedin, last night. Hudson’s building cost over £SOOO. The machinery was valued at £6OOO, and the stock at about £4OOO. The insurances are £2225 on the building and £2OOO on the plant and stock, all in the Royal Exchange. The estimated loss is, therefore, roughly £II,OOO. Mr Hudson has cabled Home for new machinery. In the meantime a number of hands will be temporarily thrown out of employment. The Collector of Customs this morning ordered a quantity of rags and clothing landed cx Otarama to bo destroyed without- being removed from the bales.
