GANG OF BURGLARS.

FOUR ARRESTS MADE. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. For some time past it has been known to the police that a gang of burglars were iu town, having come from the North. It is reported that early yesterday morning the Royal Goorge Hotel had been entered and about £3O worth of jewellery stolen. By 8 o’clock two men had been arrested, and nearly all the missing jewellery was found on them. They were brought before tho Court and remanded. In the afternoon two notorious characters supposed to belong to the same gang were arrested on a charge of having no lawful visible means of support.
