MR SEDDON’S TOUR.
OFF TO LONDON. By Telegraph—Press Association. "Wellington, last night. Mr Seddon cabled yesterday to Sir Joseph Ward, as follows: “Just leaving for London. Hope yourself and colleagues and family are well. This morning I opened the Australian Association _s rooms and lunched with the colonial efiioers’ mess a mile from camp. The Australians and New Zealanders took the horses out amidst cheering and drew my carriage to the lunch.” In another message he said : “ Have seen Sir Alfred Milner re sending shipments of store cattle for restocking South Africa. The Argentine Government are subsidising vessels for this purpose. The freight from there is only £5 a head, but at the terms arranged for shipments from Australia, I am of opinion that New Zealand could supply on even terms. Our cattle would be better bred and free from disease.
