RETURNING TROOPERS.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The Governor is advised that Major E. R. Johnston, Surgeon-Major C. Dawson, Surgeon Captain S. C. Eordes, Captain 11. W. Batger, Lieutenants E. H. Taylor, J. Matheson, H. Cameron, S. A. Grant, P. W. Tait, R. W. Williams, J. Shera, and 822 non-commissioned officers and men of the Seventh Contingent sailed for Australia by the steamer Manila on Thursday last. His Excellency is also advised under date of May 23rd that Lieutenant Lascelles, of Napier, is slightly better. Lieutenant Markham is leaving for England for further treatment. Lieutenant Neill, of the Royal Irish Fusiliers, is now out of danger.
