THE PEACE NEGOTIATIONS.

Lord Onslow, speaking at Kendal, Westmoreland, said he hoped peace would have preceded the Coronation, The Boers still in the field were a mere remnant, and those who were unable to see that the time for surrender had now come were the remnant of a remnant. The only conditions whereon Britain could accept surrender were incapable of extension.
