4 LUNCH IN HIS HONOR.

IVcstport, last night. Tho following lias been received by Sir Joseph Ward from Mr Seddon, dated Johannesburg, May 20 : hearty welcome and addross from the South African League and Council. Sir Alfred Milner gave a luuch in my honor to-day. Proceed to Ivlerksdorp to-morrow to see the Eighth Contingent, and thenee to Pretoria on Thursday. The Boer delegates are there, including De Wet, De la Roy, Smut, and Botha. Will see the Ninth at Verccuiging. I gavo a send off to the Seventh at Nowcastle, yesterday. Three hundred men, 11 officers, Major Johnston commanding, leave Durban on the 21st in tho troopship Manila. There was great cheering.”
