The Deputy-Registrar of Pensioners at Auckland, who has charge of the Eden county, has made up returns for his district during the last quarter. Tho following summary is the result. The total pensioners on the books on January 1, 1002, was 1008 ; transfers inwards from other districts, 9 ; total, 1017 ; rejections under all heads, 11 ; transfers outwards to all other districts, 3. The month’s total is 11. The deaths were 17. The following are the complete results for last financial year :—Total ou registers on April 1, 1901, 1017 ; total new claims established during year, 97 ; total number inward transfers during year, 45 ; grand total, 1059 ; decreases by deaths, 99 ; by rejections under all heads, 10 ; by outward transfers, 52, leaving at the commencement of tho present financial year, 999 old age pensioners, or a decrease of 18 during the year ending last March.
