WAIKOHU ROAD BOARD.

The annual meeting of ratepayers in the Waikohu road district was held at, the Board’s office, Te Karaka, on Saturday, Mr W. Hutchinson presiding. There was a fair attendances The balance-sheet was of a most satisfactory uature, there being the sum of £lO6 9s lOd to the credit of the Board.

Several ratepayers referred to the pleasing state of the finances, and on tbe motion of Mr J. Barrington, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to those members who had controlled tbe affair?’ of the Board during the year. Mr Devery said that it would be necessary to have a little money spent on the Wbatatutu road near his property. The water was backing on to his prbperty from the road. The matter was left to the Board to dealt with.
