HIS AIRSHIP EXPLODES AT 1500 ft. ASSISTANT ALSO KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Berlin, May 12. M. Severs, the well-known aeronaut, and a rival of Santos Dumont, was killed, with his assistant, by the explosion of his airship. He was making an ascent over Paris, which great crowds in the streets were watching. M. Severs’ ascent had reached a height of fifteen hundred feet-, when an explosion occurred wnich killed the aeronaut and his assistant in mid-air.
