MR CARROLL’S MISSION.

(Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. The result of Mr Carroll’s mission to the Arawa tribe re bringing their lands under the provisions,of the Maori Lands Administration Act was most successful. Two days were occupied in discussion, which ended in unanimously agreeing to hand the blocks over to the Minister. The Arawa district will be immediately proclaimed under the Act. Mr Carroll is now in the Bay of Plenty, with equally favorable results. On his return from Tauvanga he will visit Waahi, near Huntly, and discuss with “ King ” Mahuta the Acts relating to Maori lands. A satisfactory termination with regard to the Ngatimaniapoto lands is confidently anticipated.
