Tennis Club Dance.
A very successful dance was held in the ■Academy of Music last night in connection with the Gisborne Tennis Club. There was a large attendance, upwards of fifty couples being present, and a very pleasant evening was spent. The interior oi the hall was gaily decorated with flags and bunting, whilst the front of the gallery was spread with tennis nets, with a number of racquets here and there. The floor was in excellent condition for dancing, and the best of music was supplied by Mrs Fernandez. A splendid supper was provided by the lady members of the club, the tables being most artistically laid. Amongst those present were the following:—Mrs Bright, black and cardinal silk; Mrs A. Gallagher (Tolago Bay), white muslin with satm baby ribbon; Bliss BVinter, white silk ; Bliss Srnythe, white silk ; Bliss BV. Adair, green silk, pink chiffon and roses: Bliss Foster, green silk trimmed with cream silk lace ; Bliss tfiggs (Palmerston North), rose pink silk; Bliss C. Beynolds, white satin ; Bliss Adair, pink satin with pink fichu and roses. Amongst the gentlemen present were Messrs Bousfield, Spence (Tolago Bay), Biorris (Hauiti), Kells, C. Adair, Bright (2).
