DISPUTE AS TO PATENTS.

(Special to Times..) Wellington, last night. The Registrar of Patents has given his decision in the matter of an application by James Watson, of Wellington, designer for letters patent, for improvements in metallio glazing bars and appliances. The application was opposed by Ballinger Bros., the Wellington assignees of Wade’s patent, skylight, on the ground that the subject matter had been anticipated by Wade’s patent. The Registrar held that the applicant was only entitled to one out of his five claims, namely the scroll shape gutters of sheet metal glazing bars, and he directed a patent to issue for this item, subject to the applicant eliminating all other claims from his specifications.
