CO-OPERATIVE BAKERY DECIDED ON

CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The Canterbury Trades and Labor Council has decided to take immediate steps to establish a co-operative bakery and flour mill in Christchurch, in connection with the working men’s co-operative society. Some time ago it was decided to start a co-operative butchery, but this project will probably be held over for a time, pending the carrying out- of the latest scheme. COMPLIMENTARY DINNER.
The City Councillors this' evening tendered a dinner to Mr W. E. G. Rhodes, the retiring Mayor of Christchurch, Mr H. T. Wigram, Mayorelect, said that the City should not be bounded by the belts, and in touching on “'The question of Greater Christchurch, he said that the outside local bodies could assist the city, and the city.could assist them.
