RANFURLY CUP.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. At a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night it was decided that the Ranfurly Cup be open for competition to all unions affiliated to the N.Z.R.U., subject to certain rules which provide that at the end of the 1902 season the cup shall be allotted to the strongest team of the year, and that such union shall hold the cup, subject to right of challenge by any affiliated union, and that all challenge matches be played on the ground of the holders of the cup.
