BISLEY TEAM.
THE DISSATISFACTION.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 2.
Since the inception of the Bislev rifie team movement friction has existed between the New South Wales Rifle Association and the Commonwealth Council of the Rifle Association, the headquarters of which are in Melbourne. The New South Wales Association are dissatisfied with the distribution of voting power in the election of manager. Victoria, South Australia, Westrajia, and Tasmania having seven men in the team, and contributing a thousand pounds, are alieged to have controlled nine votes, while New South Wales and Queensland, with five men, and contributing eleven hundred pounds, controlled only four votes.
Major-General Hutton wired yesterday the team selected, and asked New South Wales to make nomination for a manager, who will be appointed upon the votes of the Council, as the appointment of Council nominee. It was considered certain the New South Wales Association resolved, owing to dissatisfaction at the way its rifle men were treated, declined to contribute any funds for the expenses of the team.
