DRAINS.
• (To the Editor of the Times.) Sm, —The Inspector's report on local drains has left out one, viz., that which goes into the river just below Mr A. F. Matthews’ office. How this has been overlooked seems incomprehensible, as for stench it has the power of a 4’7 gun. Tt is impossible to iinagiqe a more heartbreaking, soul-harrowing steuoh. You could build a factory chimney on it, or lean the Tower of Pisa against it.—l am, etc., ’ Robert Moate. Riverside road, April 30.
