LIVELY TROOPERS.
OBJECT TO THE SLANDERING OP MR SEDDON.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, April 28. A few of the Norfolk’s troopers were responsible for a mild sensation in one of the main streets of the city late on Saturday night. Objecting to a reference to Mr Seddon contained on the contents board placarded outside a certain Sunday newspaper office, they requested the reference to be deleted. The request not being conceded, they forcibly removed the board inside and gave cheers for Mr Seddon. It is alleged ■ that subsequently, finding the board again displayed, two troopers entered the office and vented their displeasure in suasion sterner than moral upon one of the employes. It is stated that nineteen stowaways were found on the Norfolk. Three were taken as troopers, and the balance put ashore.
