Pollard Opera Company.
Gisborne theatre poers will be pleased to learn that the Pollards play a return visit of four nights, commencing on Wednesday next, 80th inst., when will be produced the successful musical comedy, “ Florodora,” with new principal ladies in the cast. On Thursday, “ The Rose of Persia ” will be staged, and will be followed by “La Perichole ” and “ La Mascotte,” in the order named. MU-s Rosie Evesson, whose dancing as one of the Dartohs in “ Florodora ” caused so much enjoyment when the company was here last, is still with the company. In addition, Miss Connie Buttel and Miss Alice Edgar will make their first appearance here. The former will undertake the part of Dolores and the latter that of Lady Holyrood in “ Florodora.” The box plan will be opened at Miller’s to-morrow, from 10 to 11 a.m., when persons can book for the season of four nights, after which hour single seats may be booked. Bearing in mind the heavy booking on a previous occasion, we advise those desirous of obtaining good seats to make early application.
