At the meeting of the Education Board to day the statements in certain papers relating to tho existence of white slavery in -regard to the dairying industry in Taranaki was brought'up, and the following resolution was passed unanimously : “ That tho Board notice with regret tho circulation by some papers, notably tho Wellington Post, of articles entitled 1 Children slavery in connection with tho dairy industry ’; that sucb articles aro misleading and untrue, and tend to cast a serious reflection on a large number of tho best class of settlors, whoso children attending schools in our district comparo favorably mentally and physically with thoso of any other province, as evidenced by the Inspector’s annual report arid individual experienco and observation of members."
