The Chairman of the Parliamentary Reform Conference presented their resolution to the Premier, and said that if he adopted the platform they were prepared to carry him through ihe city, singing “ See, the Conquering Hero Comes.”

Mr Peacock defended the Government. He promised that the Government would submit the scheme at an early date, not only to reduce members and their pay, but to reform the Constitution to suit new conditions.
