CONTINGENT CHAPLAIN.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night,

The Rev. J. A. Luxford, chaplain of tho Tenth Contingent, was dedicated in Durham street Wesleyan Church last evening.' Tho ceremony waß performed by the Rev. H. Baumber, the pastor, before a large congregation. Mr Luxford was born in Wellington. He studied under tho Revs. Morley and Berry, in Christchurch, and occupied several pulpits in Canterbury. Up to the present he has been pastor at Lyttelton.
