At the annual meeting of the Rugby Union, it was resolved that it be an in- | struction to the delegate to move a resolution at the annual meeting of the X.Z.11.U. that the larger unions be compelled tj allocate say at least a quarter of the not gate to the smaller unions with whom they may engage to play. Thanks were expressed to the Rev. F. Chatterton, now Principal of the Maori College at Gisborne, for the interest taken in the Union. The President, Mr Littlejohn, promised to again present trophies for a seven-aside charity tournament.
