SEAMEN REFUSE DUTY.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, last night. The crew of the brigantine Enterprise, which was to havo sailed last night, refused duty, and warrants have been issued for their arrest. The meu complain that tho forecastle is leaky, and that during a fortnight at sea from T'uiaru to Wanganui they had never been dry. They have no desire for a survey of the ship, but want their discharge. Tho captain asserts that the men, who were shipped at Timaru and Dunedin, have little cause for complaint, ard says they are newchums, and were all sick on the voyage up. Ho has ordered a survey to be made. The Magistrate, Mr Kettle, went down to the ship to-day to settle the dispute amicably, but the men said they would refuse to go to sen.
