Tennis Championship.
(By Telegraph—Pres3 Association.) Wellington, last night. This afternoon Mrs Payne won the ladies’ tennis championship of Wellington provincial district, beating Miss O. Gore, B—2,8 —2, 6 —l. The cup now becomes Mrs Payne’s absolute property, she having won it twice in succession.
