SEA-BORNE MAILS.

For Auckland, per Zealandia, Saturday, at 9 a.m. For Australia, due in Sydney on April sth, Tasmania, Ceylon, India, Straits Settlements, China, and Japan, per Zealandia, Saturday, at 9 a.m. For Napier, Wellington, and South, per Moura, Saturday, at 7.30 p.m. For United States of Amorica, Canada, West Indies, Central America, West Coast of South America, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via San Francisco, due in London on May 3, also Samoa and Hawaiian Islands, connecting with s.s. Sonoma at Auckland, per Te Anau, Wednesday, April 2, at 7 a.m. For South Africa, due in Durban about May 18, per s.s. Aberdeen, from Melbourne, per Waikare, Saturday, April sth, at 9 a.m. G. W. EASTER HOLIDAYS; POST OFFICE^ The following special hours of attendance will be observed at post and telegraph offices in the Gisborne district On Good Friday all post offices will observe a close holiday. Mails for despatch during the day will be closed the previous evening at 7.30 p.m. On Easter Monday all post offices .Will be open to the public from 9 to 10 a.m. only, and mails for despatch during the day will close at 10 a.m. There will be no delivery by letter carriers.

TELEGRAPH OFFICE,

On Good Friday the Gisborne office Will be open from 9.20 to 10 a.m. All other offices in the Gisborne district will observe a close holiday. On Easter Monday the Gisborne office will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. All other offices in the Gisborne district from 9 to 10 a.m. only. Mails for the following offices will not be despatched on Good Friday or Easter Monday Makaraka, Waercn-ga-a-hika, Matawhero, Ormond, Te Arai Bridge, and Murewai, G. W. SAMPSON, Chief Postmaster.
