Tho Auckland Herald’s correspondent at Okoroire telegraphs that all the sufferers aro in a fair way of recovery, and, as those taking meals in the hotel regularly for some days past have in no way suffered, it is certain that whatever may have been tho cause of tho trouble, all the danger is past. A vordict was given, and, although the inquost was held by a Justice of tho Peace before the police were able to got to the scene, and was rather a summary affair altogether, the police at present see no way of re-opening the inquiry unless something very striking is brought to light. Every effort will, however, be made by tho police to got at the cause of poisoning, but they are doubtful if the analyst will materially help, as two days elapsed between tho poisoning and the time they collected the material for the analyst.
