POLO ASSOCIATION.

[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Palmerston North, last night. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Polo Association was held to-night. It was resolved that a New Zealand team be sent to Australia next January. Members willing to go are requested to send in their names to their secretary by the tenth November. It was decided to hold the next tournament at Hastings. The election of officers resulted: President, His Excellency the Governor; vlcePresident, T. Crosse ; Committee, A. Strange, Williamson, W. A. Keiller, R. S. Abraham, Skerrett; secretary and treasurer, Mr Crawford. It was decided to ask Hurlingham to instruct the umpires to give a decision against off-side play without waiting for an appeal. It was resolved to enforce the rule against tho use of sharp spurs. The Chairman made complimentary reference to Mr Heaton Rhodes, and wished him a safe return from South Africa. The balance-sheet showed a total credit of £57 19s Bd.
