By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The Premier, Buller, dredge returns are 12-1-oz for 125 hours.
The Wellington Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is sending its Inspector into country'districts to form branches of the Society. It is alleged chat cruelty to animals is very prevalent in these localities.
Major Pilcher wires from Capetown that Privates Armstrong, Cunningham, Fraser, aud Heloy, who are in the hospital, are doing well.
