Lord Methuen received a martini wound in the right thigh, causing a severe fracture. Do la Bey, at the moment of capture, caused a message to be despatched to Lady Methuen, stating that her husband was safe.
The Daily Mail states that Government have thanked De la Rey for his kind treatment of Lord Methuen. It is understood that the Government will shortly give some proof that they recognise his chivalry. DRIVING THE BOERS.
STEIN AND DE WET GO WESTWARD. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, March 15. Sixty Boors were driven through Kudu Pass, Drakensberg, in the direction of Annersdale. Tho Yeomanry and Police are pursuing them. The Standard says that the Boers scampered before the westward drive. Fifty were captured. Steyn accompanied De Wet across tho line westward.

Lieutenant-Colonel Coy’s Australians pursued Mentye’s commando, which broke the Heilbron-Wolvehok blockhouse line at Gothenburg. One was killed and five captured. The rest escaped in the direction of Wilge river. Colonel Fanshawe’s column is pursuing thorn.
