Tho Englishmen’s final match took placo to day. There was fine weather. Robson, Barnes, and Blythe stood out. Mackenzie having retired from cricket, 'Newland took his place behind the wicket. Braund dismissed Hill before he got going, with a lovely ball. Jarvis, by vigorous hitting, made 22 in 15 minutes. Evans and Claxton had an excellent partnership, tho former getting thirty in seventeen minutes. Seven wickets had fallen for 118, but Claxton batting brilliantly with Newland fetched the score up.
