(Per Press Association). HOKITIKA, last night. At a smoke concert last nignt the Mayor presented long service medals to firemen. Secretary Gil herd received an ovation when he was being decorated with the blue ribbon of the New Zealand fire service. There is glorious weather for the aquatic picnic to-day. A long flotilla of boats left at 10 o’clock, and the large party should have an enjoyable day.
