A Rebellion.

By telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Belgrade, March 6. Malavantic, a distant relative of Prince Karageoorgevicht, and four others attempted a rebellion in Servia. Attired in a general’s uniform, he induced a few frontier guards to follow him, and attempted to seize the Prefecture of Shabats. He fired at and missed the captain of gendarmes, who demanded his authority. The captain inflicted three mortal wounds on Alvanantic, who in dying confessed that Prince Karangeorgenicht prompted him. The latter denied the relationship, and attributes the rising to Government machinations.
