Elms Handicap : The Victory 1, Parvo 2, Oukwood 3. Betting—o to 4 Parvo, 6 to I Victory. Won after a great race by half a head. Time, 1.29]. Autumn Handicap : Felicitous 1, Hoopiron 2, Flintlock 3. Betting—3 to 1 Flagstaff and Felicitous. Won easily. Time, 2.50]. Champion Stakes. La Carabine 1 Wakeful 2 Haymarket 3
Also started : Grasspan and Barbarossa. Betting: 5 to 4 Wakeful, 3 to 1 Haymaker, 10 to 1 La Carabine. Wakeful held command half a mile from home, and was leading to the turn, when La Carabine took second place, and challenged Wakeful at the distance, winning by two lengths, Haymaker threo lengths and a half behind Wakeful. First Hurdles: Royal Conqueror 1, Tokatea 2, Waiwera 3. Aquinaldo and Noa also started. Won by a length. Time 4.2 1-5, divs. £6 4s and 17s. First Hack Hurdles : Clarion 1, Omprah 2, Bonos 3. Morelli was scratched. Won by two lengths. Time 3.29 3-5, divs. £7 14s 6d and £2 4s.
