Sir,—The way in which the Milling Trust in the South is adopting the principles or want of principles upon wlrch the American trusts work ret,mres the force of public opinion to i p niptly deal with it per medium of lfcislation, which, fortunately for Me JL of New Zealand, can b6r.rih-ta-.ned without gny great difficulty when the position reaches the unbearable stage. Apparently the agitation fn the South has not taken any very rh.iirite form. The people generally inclined to view with suspicion .«■ actions by the unions whose ow efforts are to some extent Greeted bodies- well able to look after their own niter « Riit • aiivtliinc connected -vritn providing of bread is of interest ■: every member of a community.
