SYMPATHY., (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, last, night. The Auckland Presbytery carried a motion, expressing admiration of the gallant conduct of the Seventh Contingent at Bothasberg, and of sympathy with the bereaved friends. THE SEND-OFF. A meeting of the committee formed to arrange for a send-off to the Ninth Contingent was held to-day. It was decided that the Contingent be brought on the 19th to town by rail, and marched to Government i-louse paddocks and addressed ; and then entertained ae luncheon in the Choral Hall adjoining, and afterwards given an opportunity to take leave of their friends in the adjoining grounds. Then they proceed to the wharf to enTbark.
