A LATE AWAKENING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, March 4. The crusade against the plague is being vigorously.prosecuted. Numbers of people have been fined for keeping dirty premises. Many insanitary buildings have been condemned. Three shipmasters were fined for not affixing discs to wharf ropes.
A woman named Boavdman, of Marriclcville, who worked in the infected city area, and a Chinaman named Check, on Queen street, have been plague-stricken. The patient Clement is dead. . CASE IN MELBOURNE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, March 4.
A man Quaintocke, of Fitzroy, has been plague-stricken. He assisted in the unloading of the steamer Coolgardie when she called en route to Adelaide.
