Kawhia Lands.

At a meeting of the Chamber of Com merce a resolution was carried stronglyprotesting against the action of the Government in withdrawing the Kawhia lands which were to have been offered for settle ment, and the elimination of the rigbi of purchase condition. It was agreed tc urge Government to at once throw the lands open and re-insert the right oi purchase.
