SUPREME COURT.
(By Telegraph—Press Association/ Invercargill, last night.
At the Supreme Court five young fellows were charged with : —l. Breaking, entering and stealing liquor, tobacco, etc., from the hut of Chinese at Orepuki ; 2, breaking and entering with intent, and, 3, that they riotously and simultaneously assembled to the disturbance of the public peace and damaged a dwelling-house. They were found guilty of the third court. Sentence was deferred. The affair arose out of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Some of the accused had been treated by prosecutors earlier in thej day, and that they were more or less drunk was admitted.
