ing began at 3 o’clock. In the AVellington Match, 500, 600, and 700 yards, seven shots, possibles were made by O'Neill (AVanganui), Raven (AVellington), and Nelson (Waiinate) at 500yds. Some leading scores were made at the first two ranges. The match finishes later in the afternoon. Hale (AVellington) Aitken (Manchester), Fraser (Kaitangata), Perrin (Palmerston North), McKie (Piako) have made 64 each, A. Ballinger (Wellington), Raven (AVellington), Papps (Nelson), France (Karori) 63 each, Daley (Ruahine), Bairstow (Southland), Davidson (AVairoa), Mills (Dunedin), AVinslade (AVanganui) 62 each. The shooting this morning was very good. The 700yds match is proceeding. The leading aggregates are : H. Hawthorne (Karori) 200, Carlson (Auckland) 199, France (Karori) 199. R. Randall (Karon) 196, G. Hyde (Opaki) 196, Aitcheson (Kaitangata) 195.

Later.—The weather kept fine, but a fresh breeze was experienced during the afternoon, which made the shooting very difficult. The 700 yards range broke up the majority of the old shots. The following is the prize-list: Wellington Match, five, six, and seven hundred yards, seven shots each. —W. Bidwell, Kaiwaiwai, £2, Frane, Karori, £2, Sergt. Okey, Taranaki, £2, 86 each. Ninety-six won the match
