A Glaring Scandal.
Dunedin, last night. In Peter Grant’s tote betting case, tbe Justices overruled the Magistrate, Mr Carew, and dismissed the case, in which judgment had been reserved till the decision of Judge Williams was obtained on another conviction of a like nature. The Crown Solicitor commented on the Jus- ’ tices over-ruling a Supreme Court judg- i ment.
